What are Orthotics?
Orthotics fit into the shoe and serve to decrease pain by improving function or biomechanics of the foot. The forces, which move through the foot, are considerable. Orthotics help to control these Forces. Pain results when the biomechanics of the foot are inefficient.
Physical therapy, cortisone, rest and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents
(NSAIDS) only suppress the symptoms. Orthotics actually address the underlying problems which cause the pain.
